Brandon Rodriguez is a guitarist, producer, and engineer based in New Jersey, widely recognized for his work with Stray View, a Hopeless Records-signed band known for blending post-hardcore intensity with cinematic and experimental soundscapes. With over two decades of experience, Brandon’s distinctive approach to guitar and production bridges the gap between raw energy and technical precision.
Brandon began playing guitar at the age of 11, quickly immersing himself in the world of music and developing an ear for unique tones and textures. Drawing influence from artists such as Mick Gordon (DOOM), Mark Holcomb (Periphery), and Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon), as well as video game soundtracks like Metroid Prime and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Brandon creates immersive soundscapes that push the boundaries of modern rock and metal.
In addition to his work as a guitarist, Brandon is an accomplished producer and engineer, known for his innovative use of effects like pitch shifters, octavers, and ring modulators. His expertise in crafting dynamic tones has become a signature of his sound, both in the studio and in live settings. Whether building ethereal ambient textures or delivering hard-hitting, riff-driven anthems, Brandon approaches every project with creativity and precision.
Beyond his work with Stray View, Brandon collaborates with other artists and projects, bringing his unique perspective to songwriting, arrangement, and production. His dedication to sonic exploration is rooted in a deep passion for music’s power to connect and inspire.
When he’s not performing or producing, Brandon continues to explore new creative horizons, drawing inspiration from everything from modern metal and electronic music to the atmospheric worlds of his favorite video game soundtracks.
“After trying many pickups over my years of playing I couldn’t quite get the sound I heard in my head to translate to real life. With Fishman pickups, every note hits harder, cuts clearer, and feels alive.”
